Weather and its effects - a thought
I am thinking it would be fun to have effects of weather on our character, if you go without clothing for a long period of time you turn blue, longer than that, you turn black...
what say you?

My Norn Armour keeps my Ranger nice and warm so no frostbite for him.
On a serious note, this sounds a little pointless.

but no, this thought came to me because i recently created a new ranger that starts from Shing Jea Monastary, and everyday every hour that I go back and forth to the monastary, and you guys should know we need to go talk to all the headmasters right, and these players with their bikini lining up at the staircase, at first its just people having fun, but after 10 days of bikini character blocking your way it gets kind of frustrating!
if you ask why 10 days, well i delete them once i get roughly +-10 monastery credit. drunkard title
anyway, i thought if they turn blue from cold i can point and laugh :P~ see.

Why?
Why would it be fun to have your character randomly change different colours? and considering its most of the time sunny in outposts (with a few differing) what would be the point?

not randomly, only when you take it off for an overly long period of time. and longer than that it'll (best case scenario) turns black permanantly.

ROFL I like it. actually, you need clothing in the desert to not dehydrate, but water ele lololol good one.

So add sunburn too. You need to get tanning lotion from the merchant to prevent this.
Add a title along with this stuff --10.000 minutes of sunbathing being max --, and a few new miniatures.
But hey we already got environmental effects: Nature Rituals

If you add a way to store armor without using storage space, I MAY agree.
But as long as we have to use inventory or storage space to do so. It is not possible. There's just not enough space to save one set for each kind of weather.

When you are standing around for a while, instead of the silly poses that the characters do at the moment, you could have weather related ones.
Having weather affect game play would just be annoying unless it is implemented as a mission special effect thing.

I'd rather have actual visual weather and time-based effects on the environment first...

see you guys, this is not an idea yet, lol, but now it can after all the inputs nice one, for weather affecting combats! Katsumi.
I was thinking that, let see, day before yesterday while doing the Hell's mission for the endgame weapons. what if it rains and the titans are all not burning titans and they sort of not feeling very well under the weather, cos, you know, all the steam and smoke from water splashing onto the flames, so I went and made a water ele for the mission, turns out to be a good build!

We already have actual visual weather effect, rain and snow, now maybe we need storm (strong windy days and such), I am not sure what you mean by time-based, do you mean day/night? I think that should be in too, for day and night, so that you get the full effect of sunburn/temperature.
Mid Thread Summary
Temperature
Day and night
Armor for all weather
terrain affecting combat
- visually (we sort of have this now, like when enemy is not in line of sight)
- movement
- hero henchmen getting lost maybe
- and terrain affecting skills (eg: fire dmg is greatly reduce in effect if say you are standing in a pool of water, worse if your in a lake)
weather affecting combat
- visually (foggy days, if you are facing the suns etc)
- movement (strong windy days, cold with wrong armor etc)
- hero henchmen getting lost maybe (see how they are not following orders now, they may getlost easily on a foggy day)
- and terrain affecting skills (eg: fire dmg is greatly reduce in effect if say you are standing in a pool of water, worse if your in a lake)
- weather affecting armor and weapons. (cloths armor get wet, reduce in armor by X%, or steel armor in wet weather, reduce in attack speed etc)
oops:
i forgot, skin color changes if you take off your clothes for too long a period. blue, purple black! black being permanent
With this comes new skills for elementalist yay!
and to solve the problem of armor storage please see picture
